Since 2003, the Greek School has stood as the primary educational initiative of the Hellenic Community of Ireland, funded by its members and bolstered by support from the Greek Ministry of Education, Research, and Religion, which provides teachers and educational materials.
Recognized by the Ministry of Education in 2003, the Division of Greek Language and Culture within the H.C.I. was formalized with the secondment of its first teacher, culminating in the government’s decision Φ816.41/903/146237/Ζ1 on 21-11-2012. Expanding its scope, the H.C.I. also established an examinations center for certifying Greek language proficiency.

The Greek language and culture classes are being conducted in accordance with the guidance developed by the University of Crete for teaching Greek abroad, under the supervision of the educational branch of the Greek embassy in London.
